Pakistan’s front-line pacer Junaid Khan has injured his hamstring during a practice session and was absent during the session on Thursday in Lahore.
Along with lanky Mohammad Irfan, Junaid is expected to put some impressive show for Pakistan during World Cup starting next month in Australia and New Zealand, which have pacer friendly pitches.
But according to media reports Junaid’s injury may be severe and he may miss the big event. However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is yet to announce the severity of the injury and Junaid’s chances of missing the World Cup.
Junaid last month recovered from a knee-injury and performed brilliantly in Pentangular Cup, leading his team Fighters to title triumph.
