There should be an inquiry about situation in the dressing room: Sethi

Pakistan Cricket Board’s former chairman, Najam Sethi has suggested that there should be an inquiry about the situation in the team’s dressing room, coaches and also the captain.

“Players’ body language suggests that there is some unrest [in the dressing room], people are questioning the performance of the captain [Sarfraz Ahmed],” said Sethi. “Probably the changes made in the last eight or ten months have triggered a sense of insecurity within players.”

The former PCB boss criticized the board for not supporting the players and the management in the World Cup the way they should.

He further talked about conflicts within the board and said that there have been factions in the PCB. He also said, PCB chairman, Ehsan Mani’s actions are not in accordance with the constitution of the board.

Pakistan’s performance has been disappointing during the tournament so far, where they have lost three out of five matches against West Indies, Australia and India, while managed a win against England and also had a washout against Sri Lanka.

They will face South Africa in the next encounter of the World Cup on Sunday in London.
