Inzamam Ul Haq all set to become the Chief Selector

Former Pakistani captain, Inzamam Ul Haq is set to be appointed as Pakistan’s chief selector, he has been released by the Afghanistan Cricket Board from his post of head coach to perform duties for his native country.

World Cup 92 hero for Pakistan was instrumental in Afghanistan’s success in the qualifiers and the super 10 stage of the World T20, where they defeated the champions, West Indies in a close encounter.

Afghanistan Cricket Board Chief Shafiz Stanikzai told that he has received a request from the Chairman of PCB to release Inzamam Ul Haq from his role of head coach.

Stanikzai told reporters, “Today Shahryar Khan called me and asked a favour to release Inzamam-ul-Haq as they are keen to hire him.”

The Pakistan Cricket Board is making some big changes in the board after national team’s miserable performance in the Asia Cup and the World T20. Pakistan managed to pull off just a single win the T20 mega event against Bangladesh.

Waqar Younis stepped down from his position of head coach of Pakistan and the national selection committee was dissolved by Shahryar Khan.

PCB is looking for a new head coach for the national side, there is a possibility that Pakistan hire an interim coach and Moin Khan is the leading contender for that.
