ADELAIDE: Pakistan’s spearhead pacer Mohammad Irfan is feared to miss the World Cup 2015 quarter final against Australia after he underwent an MRI scan after experiencing pain in his hip region, ARYSports.tv reported.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohammad Irfan was dropped from the playing XI against Ireland due to pain in his hip region.
He also underwent an MRI scan on Monday (today). Green shirts physio Brad Robinson has said that the report will be issued by Tuesday (tomorrow).
It should be noted that the seven foot left arm pacer has taken eight wickets in the mega event so far with best bowling figures of 4/30 against Zimbabwe.
The green shirts will take on co-hosts Australia in the quarter final of the pinnacle event on Friday.
