Mark Boucher, the newly appointed coach of South Africa has stated that he might consider convincing AB de Villiers to play for proteas again at the T20 World cup in Australia and beyond.
Not just AB, he will also respect the accessibility of Kolpak players and the recent retirees as he plots the South African group’s way forward as the head coach.
“At the point when you go to a World Cup, you need your best players playing for you,” Boucher said. “On the off chance I feel he is perhaps the best player, is there any good reason why I wouldn’t have any desire to have a discussion with him? I’ve just barely landed into the position, I may have discussions with many players and see where they are,” He added.
Boucher also expressed he would do the best things to add value back to South African cricket.
“You need your best players playing in the World Cup and if there are several issues you have to resolve, with media, with partners, and if it’s to benefit South Africa, why not, we should do it,”
De Villiers who retired from the international cricket in May 2018 due to no longer interest in managing workload. He is consistently in action playing for different franchises all over the world.
