Karachi: Ismail Khan stole the limelight with his bowling figures of 9-6 as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) beat Baluchistan by 85 runs in National U19 One Day Championship.
While batting first, KP were bowled for 153 runs. Haseeb Khan scored 40 while Haris Khan made 37 runs.
Aurangzeb, Ibrahim Sr, and Khalid Khan bagged three wickets each for Baluchistan.
In reply, Baluchistan managed to score just 68 runs thanks to Ismail’s blazing spell. Only a batsman of Baluchistan was able to get into double figures.
At LCCA Ground, Southern Punjab (SP) beat Northern by 3 wickets to mark the first win in the tournament. SP chased 124 runs target in 38.3 overs with Uzair Mumtaz scoring the highest 42 runs.
Earlier, Faisal Akram helped SP to bowl out Northern for 123 runs.
In another group match, Sindh defeated Central Punjab (CP) in a thrilling contest by a wicket. Saim Ayub powered 121 runs to help Sindh complete the chase alongside Hasan Jaffery who scored 43 runs.
Ali Asfand took five-fer from CP.
For CP, Mohammad Hurera smashed 109 runs to drive his team to 262-7 in 50 overs. Zeeshan Sageer was the pick of the bowlers from Sindh with 4 wickets.
