One of the main culprits of PSL spot fixing scandal, Nasir Jamshed has excused to PCB for not coming to Pakistan as the authorities in England have confiscated his travelling documents.
Nasir Jamshed was arrested in London along with a bookie in the case related to spot fixing in Pakistan Super League.
PCB decided to investigate the left-handed opener for the ongoing fixing saga, however, Jamshed cannot travel to Pakistan. As a result, the head of PCB anti-corruption unit will travel to London for further investigation from him.
It was learned earlier that Nasir Jamshed, despite of not being a part of PSL 2017, was a key factor in all this fixing drama as he asked Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif to meet the bookie.
The Islamabad United’s batting duo was suspended from PSL over their alleged meetings with members of a syndicate which aim to corrupt the Twenty20 league.
The investigation is still underway and PCB has suspended Mohammad Irfan from all forms of cricketing activities as well, while, Shahzeb Hasan is still being investigated.
