Karachi: Former Pakistan captain and batsman Javed Miandad has cautioned Umar Akmal to correct his acts and quit falling into difficulty for disciplinary issues on behalf of his late friend and greatest leg-spinner, Abdul Qadir.
Pakistan legend has sent out a warning to controversial Umar to kindly have some shame as he is defaming Qadir’s legacy, Umar’s father-in-law.
“Umar, my great friend, and your father-in-law was a great cricketer and I am warning you on behalf of him to correct yourself otherwise you will accountable to me,” Miandad said in a video on his YouTube channel.

He also requested the 29-year-old’s parents to control Umar acts. ” I urge Umar Akmal’s mother and father to control their son their child as he hurting his own cricket career,” he added.
He reminded Umer that his cricket will soon be over if he continues to do these things.” You are damaging your country’s image and Pakistan’s former cricketers with your demonstrations as everybody is denouncing you,” he maintained.
“Cricket is not about money only, it’s about respect too, We have left cricket but still people respect us, please respect everyone, play good cricket,” he concluded.
It must be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), under their article 4.7.1 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code, suspended Umar with immediate effect and stopped hin to participate in PSL after he was found involved in suspicious activities.
