Watch: Javeria Khan confident ahead of Pakistan clash against England


Canberra: The right-handed opening batsman and player of the match against West Indies, Javeria Khan is confident that Pakistan women team will give a tough fight to England if they apply their plans successfully.

The senior batsman scored 28-ball 35 that laid a great platform for Pakistan to a comfortable eight-wicket win at Manuka Oval yesterday.

We can’t thank Almighty enough as we succeeded in giving a total team performance against West Indies. The bowlers set the tone and they were very well supported by fielders and batters’ both, it was a complete team effort,” she said.

On the match against England, she said that the team is fully focused to perform regardless of the opposition they are facing

“T20 is a kind of format where the team that executes plan better on the day emerge as winners. We are focused on our performance rather than worrying about the opposition, we would try to apply our plans well and if we do that well we can succeed,” she added.

Pakistan women team will play their second match of the tournament tomorrow against England at the Manuka Oval, Canberra. The match will begin at 1:00 pm.
