Javeria scores 56 on comeback, Pakistan wins third T20I by 8 runs (D/L method)


Durban: Javeria Khan scored 56 not-out as Pakistan won rain-hit third T20I against South Africa by 8 runs according to (D/L Method) here on Wednesday. 

Sent into bat first, Pakistan scored 127-6 in 20 overs with Javeria scoring highest 56 with the help of five boundaries. Kainat Imtiaz scored 29 off 24 balls in the end for Pakistan laced with two boundaries.

Nondumiso Shangase bagged three wickets while Tumi Sekhukhune took two wickets for South Africa.

In reply, Pakistani bowlers picked up two early wickets to lay down a solid foundation for their team. Anne Bosch (13) and Mignon du Preez (24) tried hard to lift the home side’s score but they managed to add just 20 runs.

Anam Amin bagged Bosch to reduce South Africa to 24-3. The hosts were 63-4 while chasing 128 when rain abandoned the game. Following continuous rainfall, the match was called off and Pakistan was declared winners.

Anam bagged two wickets while Nida Dar bagged a wicket for the green shirts.

South Africa won three-T20I series 2-1. Earlier, the hosts defeated visitors in three-matches ODI series, 3-0.
