Pakistan women team crushed Ireland by a huge margin of 86 runs at he Colombo Cricket Ground. Pakistan posted 271 runs on the board with the courtesy of Javeria Khan’s 90 runs off 104 deliveries.
Pakistan’s star batter Javria Khan struck fourteen boundaries in her inning of 90 runs, despite of discontinuing her inning on 65 runs at the end of 28th over because of illness.
She lost her opening partner in the fifth over but had a solid partnership of 133 runs with her Nahida Khan. Pakistan’s senior batter struck 44 runs in the inning to make matters worse for Ireland.
Nain had a decent partnership of 68 runs with Bismah Maroof before she got dismissed in 42nd over.
Gaby Lewis was the best bowler for Irish team with her bowling figures of 62/2 in 10 overs.
In reply of Pakistan’s 271 runs, the Irish women only managed 185 runs with the help of Cecelia Joyce’s 44, Kim Garth’s 33 and Isobel Joyce’s 33 runs.
Pakistan’s skipper Sana Mir, Sadia Yousuf and Nashra Sandhi claimed two wickets each, while Aimen and Bismah Maroof struck once.
Pakistan will take on the arch-rivals India on February 19.
