
South African all rounder JP Duminy will be available for the second test match against India which is a boost to the Proteas chances of making a comeback in the second test match. The visitors were easily toppled in the first test match by 108 runs at Mohali where it was clearly evident that they were struggling to play the spinners and lacked ways to counter the turning pitch. Having Duminy in the side will help them strike some balance in the side and his potential with both bat and ball will play a vital role in the second test match.
“JP Duminy had the stitches removed from his right hand laceration two days ago. He will have a net session in the next couple of days and should be available for selection for the second Test match in Bengaluru,” Mohammed Moosajee, South African team manager, said in a press release form Cricket South Africa (Via NDTV.com)
Fast bowler Dale Steyn is also recovering from a groin injury and decision regarding his fitness and availability will be taken 2 days before the next match.
The second Test match begins in Bengaluru, starting on November 14.
