Brazil’s legendary footballer Ricardo KAKA said that he is really excited to work in Pakistan for the promotion of football.
While addressing in Karachi, KAKA said that Pakistan has immense talent which needs a platform to prove themselves.
It merits mentioning here that KAKA and Portugal’s Luis Figo are on a one-day tour of Pakistan under the program “World Soccer Stars”.
KAKA said that he is starting a campaign in Brazil to promote young footballers and it will be a great idea to introduce it in Pakistan as well.
“I am about to start a campaign in Brazil to highlight young footballers and if that works there then probably Pakistan would be one of my next destinations where I will take this initiative,” he said.
Figo, on the other hand, thanked for the hospitality after landing in Karachi and said that they are up with a plan to work for the upliftment of football in Pakistan.
“I am overwhelmed to see such support of football here and really looking forward to work for the betterment of football in Pakistan,” he said.
Portugal’s legend adviced the young footballers of Pakistan to work hard and focus on what they want to achieve.
“Hard work is the only way to get the things on the right track for you and this is what I want to advise in fact to everyone,” said Figo.
Ahmer Kunwar, a UK-born Pakistani, is the man behind the idea “World Soccer Stars” with an aim to revive the sport in Pakistan.
“This initiative has been taken to give football a new and unique identity in Pakistan,” he had said earlier.
World Soccer Stars will stage two star-studded football in Pakistan from April 26 to 29 in a bid to revive international football activities in Pakistan. The matches will be played in Karachi and Lahore respectively.
