Pakistani soccer star, Kaleemullah Khan scored his first United Soccer League goal on Saturday for his side Tulsa Roughnecks, but, couldn’t give his team a win as they lost the game by 3-1.
Kaleemullah Khan is the most known footballer from Pakistan, who signed a deal with Tusla Roughnecks in December last year, he is often used as a squad player by them.
The attacker from Chaman scored a goal that ended the three match goal-less streak for the Roughnecks in the 49th minute of the game. Kaleemullah made a well timed run to get to a low cross from his teammate Sammy Ochoa, the Pakistani star had to just tap the ball into the net.
Pakistani international soccer player played the last season of the United Soccer League (USL) for Sacramento Republic FC, which is a California based club.
Kalemullah could only represent Sacramento Republic FC in seven matches due to a number of factors, including coaching.
Kaleemullah talked to Dawn and said, “I am extremely humbled by the opportunity that has been given to me by Tulsa. They are a great team and play eye-catching football.”
“I am a quick learner and after spending some time with Sacramento Republic, I have learned a lot about American style of play so I’m sure I will be in a stronger position to play well for my new team,” he further added in the interview.
