Pakistan’s experienced wicketkeeper-batsman, Kamran Akmal went all guns blazing against HBL as he helped WAPDA chase down a target of 315 runs with courtesy of his 200-run inning in the match held at Niazi Stadium, Hyderabad.
Kamran Akmal played a decorated inning to become the third Pakistani to score a double-century in List-A cricket after Mohammad Ali and Khalid Latif.
With his match-winning knock, he took his team over the line in just the 46th over of the second inning.
The most senior of the Akmal brothers struck 27 fours and stroked 4 sixes in his blistering inning to reach the landmark in just 147 deliveries. He got out soon after scoring the double-ton on the 148th ball he faced.
Kamran Akmal has been knocking the doors of Pakistan national team with his consistent performances in the domestic circuit. He was the highest run-getter in the National T20 Cup. Previously, he was the most prolific batsman of Pakistan Super League 2017 (PSL).
