Karachi: Wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal struck his third century in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), most by any batsman so far.
Akmal played an anchor role in Peshawar Zalmi’s run-chase against Quetta Gladiators in the fourth match of this edition at National Stadium Karachi. He scored 101 runs off 55 balls as Zalmi beat defending champions by six wickets.
It was PSL’s sixth century overall and Akmal owns half of them. He also registered the record of scoring most centuries (6) by a wicket-keeper batsman in T20s.
It must be noted here that Akmal’s run-tally reached to 1430 runs at an average of 31.08. He has three centuries and nine 50s under his belt.
