Karachi Grammar, Habib Public register wins in Inter-School cricket tournament


Karachi Grammar and Habib Public won their matches on the second day of the Inter-School Cricket Tournament at NBP Sports Complex on Thursday.

Karachi Grammar beat Academy School by 125 runs to win a one-sided contest. While batting first, the winning side posted 166-7 runs. Daniyal Shahid scored unbeaten 54 runs off 40 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes.

For Academy School, Bilal Siddiqui and Tahir Baig bagged two wickets each.

In reply, Academy School managed to get just 41 runs in 12 overs. Shameer (6-16) led Karachi Grammar’s bowling attack from the front. Omar Saqib took two wickets.

In another match, Habib Public School outclassed SOS School by 98 runs. Ali Jarar (4-14) and Alyan Hamza (3-17) helped their team to bowl out SOS School for 83 runs while defending 182.

The winning side posted 181-7 in 20 overs. Alyan Rahim was the highest run-scorer with 26 runs.
