Karachi Kings aim to continue dominance against Islamabad United

Defending champions Karachi Kings will take on two-time champions of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) today at National Stadium in Karachi as season six moves forward.

Both teams have won their first match of the competition, however, the Kings won convincingly compared to the United.

Kings led by Imad Wasim outclassed Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 6 opener by seven wickets while United bagged a win courtesy of a brilliant batting display by England’s Lewis Gregory.

Kings are balanced in all departments of the game with Pakistan captain Babar Azam leading the batsmen while Mohammad Amir continues to dominate with his left-arm pace bowling.

The overseas stars Joe Clarke, Colin Ingram, Mohammad Nabi and Dan Christian hold key for Kings in middle-order while they would be hoping that emerging pacer Arshad Iqbal continue to bowl well in middle overs.

On the other hand, United will seek some resistance from its batting after middle-order suffered a mini-collapse against Multan Sultans.

The form of Faheem Ashraf and Gregory will provide an edge to United at the backend of the innings but Kings are ready to counter-attack with experience in their bowling.

The match starts today at 7.00 pm local time.
