Karachi Kings lost their third match of the tournament yesterday against the defending champions Islamabad United by seven wickets, while in the other game Sarfraz’s last ball six led Gladiators to maintain their undefeated sequence in the tournament.
Saturday’s win gave Islamabad their third win in five games and a second position in the table topped by Quetta (four wins in as many games). Peshawar are third (with four points in four games with two wins), Lahore are fourth (two wins in five games), Multan fifth (one win in four matches) and Karachi sixth (one win, three losses in four matches).
It is pertinent to mention here that last year, Karachi changed the history of Quetta Gladiators by pulling off their first win over against them in Pakistan Super League. Karachi won that game by 19 runs.
The highest total by Karachi Kings so far is 183/6 against Multan Sultans while the highest by Quetta Gladiators is 161.
