Karachi: Karachi Kings’s head coach and former Australian cricketer Dean Jones is celebrating his 52nd birthday today [March 24].
Jones is the most successful coach in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with winning two titles for Islamabad United. He had joined the popular franchise Karachi Kings for PSL 5 and led the team convincingly to the knock-out stage which unfortunately got postponed for an indefinite period due to current coronavirus outbreak across the globe.
The entire Kings’ family wished their head coach a very happy birthday and pray for his long and healthy life.
The former cricketer represented Australia in 52 Tests and 164 ODIs from 1984-1994. He had scored 6068 ODI runs at an average of 44.6. In Test format, he had 3631 runs at an average of 46.5.
