Karachi Kings, Islamabad United go head to head today in Rawalpindi


Karachi Kings and Islamabad United will go head to head in today’s only fixture of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five in Pindi Cricket Stadium at Rawalpindi.

Kings are eying a strong comeback against United, who have shown mixed performances in the tournament by winning two and losing two respectively in the five matches played with one being washed out due to rain again Zalmi yesterday.

Kings are coming into this game after losing to Multan Sultans on Friday. Imad Wasim led side is confident to defeat United at their own backyard. They will be expecting that their top-order will perform, depending a lot on Babar Azam to give a strong foundation along with Sharjeel Khan. Later in the middle order, Iftikhar Ahmed and Imad will hold the key at the back end of the innings.

In the bowling department, Mohammad Amir, Umaid Asif, and Chris Jordan will be important for Kings, however, it is expected that Kings will go with two regular spinners in today’s clash.

The fans are also eager to see the most thrilling contest between Babar and veteran South African pacer, Dale Steyn who has just arrived in Pakistan for the remaining matches of the PSL.

It will also be interesting to see who will be left out in their overseas department after the arrival of Steyn in the United’s squad, who will lead their bowling attack expectedly.

Shadab again will be crucial for his leadership qualities, which he has been showing since the start of the PSL 5 by providing contributions to every department of the game.
