KARACHI: Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings organized a marathon on Sunday morning with the name of “Karachi Dorega” to create awareness for health benefits of physical activities.
Karachi’s area of Clifton was flooded with Karachi Kings’ colours as large number of citizens along with political, showbiz and cricket personalities participated in the marathon that kicked off from Teen Talwar.
Karachi’s Mayor Waseem Akhtar was also present there, who hailed Karachiites’ spirit, “We are all here for Karachi, regardless of our political and religious party affiliations.”
The crowd was chanted the slogan of Karachi Kings “Karachi Jeetega” when a group of heavy bike riders, The Pack made their way through them.
Karachi Kings will start off their PSL 2017 campaign against Peshawar Zalmi on February 10 at Dubai International Stadium.
However, the PSL 2 is to commence from February 9 with a grand opening ceremony, which will be hosted by Fahad Mustafa and internationally famed singer, Shaggy will perform in it.
