Karachi: Azam Khan (46) and Sarfraz Ahmed (37*) helped Quetta Gladiators beat Karachi Kings by five wickets in sixth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five at National Stadium on Sunday.
Both the right-handed batters scored 85 runs together for the fourth wicket to lay down a solid foundation. Anwar Ali finished off the match with six over mid-wicket.
Kings’ bowlers bowled really well and fought till the last ball. Imad Wasim and Chris Jordan bagged a wicket each for the men in blue.
Earlier, Iftikhar Ahmed batted sensibly for Karachi Kings as they posted 156-9 in 20 overs. Iftikhar smashed 25 runs off 18 balls as the men in blue struck 43 runs in the last three overs to put a strong say on the scoreboard.
Kings struggled in the start as they were reduced to 96-5 in 13.4 overs. Babar Azam scored 26 runs while Alex Hales made 29 runs.
Mohammad Husnain bagged three wickets while Tymal mills took two wickets.
