Karachi Kings will be targeting a victory to get a place in the playoffs in an important game tonight against top-ranked Quetta Gladiators.
The contest will be tough as Karachi Kings are playing at their home ground for the first time in Pakistan Super League.
Karachi Kings have been the surprise package as with their utility players, the Imad Wasim led side has done what other sides have feared, bowling first and then chasing the targets twice.
Karachi Kings are sitting on eight points after eight games and they need to win only one of its two remaining matches. If Karachi beat Quetta today, they will be through to the playoffs and Lahore Qalandars who lost their ninth game yesterday against Islamabad United will be eliminated from the tournament. However, if Karachi loses today, Lahore will remain in contention for the playoffs.
On the other hand, Sarfaraz led Quetta, has already qualified for playoffs with 14 points on the points table and are determined to win the title this time.
It is difficult to predict who is going to win today’s game, as National Stadium Karachi is the home ground of Karachi Kings and the pitch can be beneficial for them to some extent. While Quetta are the favourites to win this PSL.
