The commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalwani called Karachi a ‘Cricket City’ and decided to run a campaign named as ‘Karachi The Cricket City’ during the scheduled matches of the upcoming fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the city.
Shalwani said that apart from foolproof security they will try to make this event successful in every aspect which will leave a positive impression on the world that Pakistan is a sports-loving nation.
“We have planned to welcome the guests in our city and they will surely take back some excellent memories after experiencing our hospitality,” he said.
He said that the campaign ‘Karachi The Cricket City’ will help them promote PSL in the city and bring huge turnout to the stadiums.
“Apart from our campaign, we have decided to install screens in different parks and places to let cricket fans witness the live match,” said Shalwani.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shalwani met the General Manager of the National Stadium Karachi Arshad Khan in which they discussed the security during the PSL matches in Karachi. Shalwani assured Khan to provide amid tight security during the matches which will provide a safe environment to the fans to witness a historic event.
