Pakistan’s budding karate master Shehanshah Kabeer clinched the title of the Tin Shin karate championship in Germany.
Kabeer competed in the middleweight category where some tough contestants participated from around the world.
Kabeer while talking to the ARYnews said that he is glad to hoist the flag of Pakistan in Karate championship.
“It is a proud moment for me as I achieved a milestone for my country,” said Kabeer who wants government’s support to represent Pakistan in some more events.
In women’s Kataaz championship, Iqra Memon won the first position for Pakistan for the very first time.
Iqra participated in the middle-weight category in which Poland and Sweden took third and fourth position respectively.
Iqra told ARYnews that she had represented Pakistan in several International Kartaaz and Karate championships.
She said that it makes her really proud to represent Pakistan at International level and most importantly to win laurels for the country.
“It is an honor for me to win titles for my homeland,” she said.
Moreover, Pakistan’s young weightlifters Joseph Zeeshan and Saddam Chandio bagged third and the fourth position in middle-weight and light-weight categories respectively.
