Khan, PCB fail to agree on terms for the roles with junior team

Pakistan’s former skipper, Younis Khan was in talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board for potential roles of the coach and chief selector of the junior national team.

However, according to a leading newspaper, the two parties could not agree on terms as Khan was demanding a hefty amount as remuneration and extraordinary authority to operate, which the board did not agree to comply.

Younis Khan is the only Pakistani batsman to score 10,000 runs in Test cricket. Moreover, he led Pakistan to the World T20 triumph in 2009.

Earlier, Shoaib Akhtar was also considered for the role of selection and coaching at the junior level, but the cricketing body could not get consensus with the former speedster as well.
