The Pakistan A side has managed to stay alive in the unofficial ODI series against England Lions after securing a 17 runs victory at ICC Academy Dubai.
Opener Khurram Manzoor’s century (113) propelled Pakistan A to 288 runs after England Lions opted to field first having won the toss. Amongst other notable scorers Fakhar Zaman scored 51 runs while captain Fawad Alam remained not out on 40 runs. Tom Curran took 2 wickets for 49 runs.
In reply the lions were on track to take an unassailable 3-0 in the series as James Vince stroked a magnificent ton (102) but they lost last 5 wickets for just 13 runs as their innings concluded at 271 all out. Mohammad Nawaz took 3 wickets while Mohammad Abbas took 2 wickets for Pakistan A.
Khurram Manzoor was declared man of the match because of his match winning century.
The fourth match of the series will be played on the 28th of January and the series will conclude on the 30th of January at Dubai.
