Khushdil Shah smashed 65 runs to help FATA beat Rawalpindi by six wickets in their fourth match of the National T20 Cup at Multan Stadium on Monday.
Shah struck two boundaries and six sixes to put his team in the driving seat while chasing the target of 140 runs.
Rawalpindi after winning the toss decided to bat first. Sami Aslam scored 37 with the help of four boundaries. Zahid Mansoor was the other prominent scorer for Rawalpindi with 30 runs.
Adil Amin remained on top of the bowling chart for Rawalpindi with taking three wickets. Mohammad Irfan Jr and Asif Afridi took two wickets each.
In reply, FATA reached the target with six wickets in hand. Besides Shah, Mukhtar Ahmed made 22 runs laced with two boundaries and a six. Hammad Azam bagged two wickets conceding 22 runs.
Peshawar beat Islamabad by three wickets in another match of the day. Islamabad while batting first posted 135-7 on the scoreboard in 20 overs.
Abdi Ali played a responsible knock of 47 runs spread over three boundaries and two sixes. Adeel Malik scored 30 runs. Sajid Khan and Waqas Maqsood shared two wickets apiece for Peshawar.
Peshawar managed to reach the target for the loss of seven wickets. Saad Ali and Mohammad Waqas made 43 and 41 runs respectively.
Ahmed Bashir took three scalps with conceding 30 runs in a four-over spell.
On Tuesday, Lahore Region Whites will meet Multan Region in their fifth match while Karachi Region Whites lock horns with Lahore Region Blues.
