Kohli hails appointment of ‘Kumble Sir’ as head coach

Indian ace batting star Virat Kohli has praised the appointment of former legendary Indian leg spinner Anil Kumble as the head coach of the Indian cricket team.

The right handed batsman took to Twitter to shared his thoughts and was looking forward to working with ‘Ani Kumble Sir’.

“Heartiest welcome to @anilkumble1074 Sir. Look forward to your tenure with us. Great things in store for Indian Cricket with you ??” Kohli tweeted shortly after Kumble was appointed as head coach for a one-year term.

The leg-spinner took 619 Test wickets in 132 matches and is only the second bowler in cricket history after England’s Jim Laker to have taken all 10 in a Test innings which is quite an achievement.

His first coaching assignment will be India’s upcoming tour of the West Indies in July.
