KPL 2021: Mirpur Royals beat Overseas Warrior by four wickets in Eliminator 1


Muzaffarabad: Mirpur Royals booked their place for Eliminator 2 clash against Rawalakot Hawks as they beat Overseas Warriors by four wickets in Eliminator 1 of Kashmir Premier League (KPL).

Shoaib Malik’s led Royals chased down a 161-run target for the loss of six wickets in the 19th over. Opener Sharjeel Khan provided a flying start, scoring 30 off 19 balls.

Wicketkeeper Muhammad Akhlaq, Khushdil Shah, Hassan Khan scored 26, 21 and 20 respectively. Captain Malik remained not out on 27 with Kashif Bhatti (12) to drive his side home.

Earlier, Royals put Warriors into bat and restricted them to 160/9. Agha Salman of the Warriors made 59 off 26 balls.

Shadab Majeed picked four for 45 while Salman Irshad and Sameen Gul claimed two wickets each.

Royals will face Hawks tomorrow and the winner will face Muzaffarabad Tigers in the first-ever KPL final.
