Melbourne: Former West Indies legend Brian Lara showed the cricketing world why he was the best of his times as cricket legends raise money for the Australian bushfire relief in a charity match on Sunday.
Lara smashed a series of uplift cover drives and straight drives, including two sixes, before retiring to give another batsman to bat.

Skipper Ricky Ponting also hit 26 after Justin Langer was out, as his team made 104 for five from their 10 overs.
Adam Gilchrist hit a six off the first ball in the run chase before getting out. Shane Watson slammed 30 from nine balls by punishing former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram.
The match went to the wire and Gilchrist XI lost to Ponting XI by one run in a T10 encounter.
Cricket Australia after the match took to Twitter and announced that they have raised over Aus$7.7 million by the help of great generosity from all over Australia.
“Thanks to the incredible generosity from Australia and around the globe, we’ve raised over Aus$7.7 million to support communities and families impacted by the recent bushfires”.
