Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly believes that Sarfraz Ahmed is a great captain and leaders like him are not born every day.
While people are criticizing Sarfraz’s leadership skills following two consecutive defeats against India, former-Indian captain speaks out in support of Pakistani captain.
Ganguly applauded Sarfraz’s captaincy, he said, “He is a courageous player and the way he captained the team during the Champions Trophy last year was flawless,“
The champions trophy winning captain scored 44 runs off 66 balls in his last match played against India.
Ganguly further added that he also served as a captain and he knows how it feels when the team does or does not perform well.
“His decisions have played a key role in Pakistan’s recent matches.”
The 46-year-old also advised Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and former cricketers to support and encourage their captain as he has done good captaincy in the tournament so far.
Pakistan will face Bangladesh on Wednesday, the winner will take on India in the final of Asia Cup on September 28.
