Lionel Messi’s longest goal-less streak since 2010


It’s been five club matches for the Argentinean soccer star, Lionel Messi since he has scored a single goal. It is the longest goal-less streak for the Barcelona striker since 2010.

Lionel Messi is close to score 500 goals for his club and country, but, he has not been able to score since he netted the ball against Bolivia on a penalty shoot on March 29, 2016.

The 28 year old Lionel Messi was unable to score against Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid twice, while playing for his club, Barcelona.

Talking about minutes, Lionel Messi has been unable to kick the ball in the goal net for the past 452 minutes, which is the longest time since 2010; previously he didn’t score for 474 minutes.

If the legendary footballer does not score in the next 23 minutes, this will be Messi’s longest reign without a goal. Barcelona will face Valencia on Sunday in a La Liga fixture.
