Peshawar Zalmi has won the toss and elected to bat first in this all important clash against the Karachi Kings. Shahid Afridi said that his team would look to set a good total on this pitch while Shoaib Malik said that Karachi Kings will look to put up a good show in the field today after their two consecutive loses.

Three boundaries in the second over from Hafeez to Imad Wasim got the team going from the outset.

A mighty six from Sammy off Amir but a decent over from the left arm pacer comes to an end.

Couple of sixes and a four from the final total ends the Peshawar innings on a high.

56 runs came off the last five overs as the Peshawar side sets a stiff target for Karachi Kings in this important match. Mohammad Hafeez was the top scorer with 59 runs while Tamim Iqbal scored 37 runs.

The action from second innings 

A good start from Aamer Yamin for the Zalmi side.

At the end of first over the kings were 2/0.

8 runs came off the second over from Saun Tait.

At the end of second over the score was 10/0.

Yamin conceded 10 runs in the third over as Simmons and Noman scored a boundary each.

At the end of third over score was 20/0. 

At the end of four overs the score was 26/0. 

Wahab Riaz took a wicket of the first ball of the over as Simmons was clean bowled.

Noman Anwar is dismissed for 14 runs off 16 balls as Shahid Yousuf runs him out with a direct hit.

And what on earth has happened there as Imad Wasim is run out in peculiar fashion as he was lazy getting back into the crease.

Malik hits Afridi for a six but the rest of the over was a good one for the Zalmi captain.
