Another washout in Guyana, Pakistan wins series 1-0

Guyana: Continuous rain has forced yet another washout here at Providence Stadium as Pakistan wins the four-match series by 1-0.

Only the second T20I was completed with Green Shirts winning it by seven runs while the first in Barbados, third and fourth T20I in Guyana became victims of the rain.

Pakistan opted to bowl first and only three overs of play took place. The rain interrupted the proceedings and the match was reduced to nine overs per side, however, the rain returned and umpires decided to abandon the match.

Remember, initially five-match series was planned but the COVID-19 scare during ODIs between Australia and West Indies forced Cricket West Indies (CWI) to scrap the series to four matches.

Both teams will now take part in the two-match Test series, starting from August 12 at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.
