‘In to win it’

Pakistan take on hosts England in a match no one thought Sarfraz Ahmed’s side could make it to before the ICC Champions Trophy kicked off on June 2.

The proudly unpredictable ‘Green Shirts’, considering their eighth position in the current One-Day International rankings have got nothing to lose but they’ve always said ‘we’re in it to win it’ according to Coach Mickey Arthur.

The South African expressed huge disappointment when Pakistan went down against India in their tournament opener after they were ‘intimidated’ by the defending champions.

Arthur, however, after the national side’s comeback against South Africa in the second match, reminded everyone that the win showed how Pakistan wanted to play the game.

A lucky, yet crucial win against Sri Lanka on Monday brought further jubilation to the Pakistan camp, who are now in a position where anything can be possible.
