Local court issues arrest warrant for Wasim Akram

A local court issued a bailable arrest warrant against the legendary fast bowler, Wasim Akram on Tuesday for not appearing before the court during the last 31 hearings of the case that he himself filed.

The Sultan of Swing lodged a case against Maj (retd) Amirur Rehman and others almost two years ago in Bahadurabad Police station for a road rage shooting.

Wasim Akram was involved in a road rage when he was heading to National Stadium Karachi for a camp for young fast bowlers, where his car was shot on Karsaz road after a small accident, he lodged the FIR for the event on August 5, 2015.

Later, Maj (retd) Amirur Rehman managed to get a pre-arrest bail from the court. Afterwards, he asked for an unconditional apology from the former skipper through a written letter.
