‘Looking forward to play in Shadab’s leadership’ Hasan Ali


Karachi: Pacer Hasan Ali said he was happy for his friend Shadab Khan being appointed as the national team’s vice-captain and he is looking forward to playing under his leadership. 

Speaking to reporters via teleconference after day 3 of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy round 1 ended, Champions Trophy 2017 hero said he has recovered from injury and confident to make a comeback in the national.

“I have worked really hard to make a comeback in the national team. I am complete fit now and available for selection,” Hasan said. “As far as Shadab’s appointment as vice-captain is concerned so I was happy for him, in fact, I congratulated him on a phone call. I hope he and Babar Azam, being young captains lead Pakistan strongly,” he added.

“Obviously, he is my friend and I am really looking forward to playing under his leadership whenever I get picked once again for the national team,” he maintained.

To a query about changing the wicket-taking celebration style due to injury issues, Hasan clarified his injury wasn’t due to his celebration style. “Let me make one thing clear, I didn’t face any issues due to my celebration style. In fact, this celebration style gives me the confidence to bag more wickets,” he concluded.
