Mahela Jayawardene joins PSL


Just a day after Kumar Sangakkara has joined Pakistan Super League, another Sri Lankan giant Mahela Jayawardene has also been roped in by Pakistan;s first major domestic T20 league.

Mahela is an example of an artist at work and his elegant and graceful shots had been a terrific sight for their home fans and spectators all over the globe. Pakistan Super League has now made it possible to witness this great player once again as he is now on the PSL roster.

Mahela Jayawardene played international cricket for Sri Lanka for almost two decades. He scored tons of runs and centuries for his lankan lions and was also a very successful captain in all formats. During his illustrious career he amassed more than 24000 runs and 55 centuries are also to his name. He has played in numerous leagues all over the world also represented Sri Lanka in 55 t20 matches. He is also one of the few players who has a century in T20 international matches.

Mahela is a well respected player on and off the field and which is why his presence among junior Pakistan domestic players and other international athletes will help them learn a lot tricks of the trade from Mahela.
