Pakistan’s Mahmood Lodhi is an ace chess player from Pakistan. He is a 14 time world champion and has now bagged his 6th Asian Chess championship title.
The tournament was held in Iran and was spread over 9 days from 24th of September to 1st of October. Lodhi was impressive all throughout the tournament and kept leading after all rounds. He eventually sealed the title on Thursday and won yet another Asian title.
Mahmood Lodhi has won 14 national titles for Pakistan as well and is one of the top ranked chess players despite the fact that chess is a largely neglected game in Pakistan.
