Malik believes in youngsters to perform well in ODIs against SA


Veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik thinks that consistent performances help win matches and it comes when players get ample opportunities.

Malik while talking to the media ahead of the start of their five matches ODI series against South Africa said that the team management is all set on a path of preparations for the upcoming World Cup and giving cricketers a chance to prepare themselves for the mega event.

“Our youngsters are extremely talented and they will be strong enough in future,” he said.

Malik said that they are keen to be prepared tough for the upcoming series. The team management is planning different things with all players and they will try to execute all plans well.

“The conditions in South Africa are tough either you are playing a Test, ODIĀ or T20. Nothing is sure about the results but we are confident to give our best,” he said.

The right-handed batsmanĀ said that performing good gives confidence and as a senior batsman he always tries to send a positive sign into the dressing room.

“As a senior batsman, you need to give your best because it not only increases your confidence but also of the young players in your side,” said Malik.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan will play their first ODI against South Africa on January 19 in Port Elizabeth.
