Pakistan and Karachi Kings’ allrounder is looking to convince foreigner cricketers to come and play PSL final in Lahore.
Malik is telling his foreign counterparts that he and also his wife Sania Mirza, who is an international star and an Indian national, do not require security while roaming in Pakistan.
“I don’t take security at home. I have informed the players here that my wife is an Indian national and even she doesn’t take security whenever she visits Pakistan,” former Pakistan skipper said.
The 35-year old was questioned regarding the standard of PSL, on which he replied that he does not like to compare leagues, however, it is one of the top.
“Though I don’t think it’s fair to compare leagues, I think going by the standard of cricket after Big Bash, PSL takes the stand. And by God’s grace it’s getting better day by day,” he added.
Malik told that he has seen tremendous potential in the emerging players played at the PSL, but they have will have to constantly work to develop themselves because talent in isolation cannot help them become greats of the game.
“If you have physical fitness your performance will be consistent,” he said, adding that he has urged the youngsters to display their best performances in PSL and show their calibre,” he said.
