Sohaib Maqsood suffers injury during online fitness test


Karachi: Middle-order batsman Sohaib Maqsood has suffered an injury while giving the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s online fitness test.

The 33-year-old took to Twitter to reveal the incident that happened on Saturday. He suffered a deep cut on his knee because of a broken glass table, while performing the necessary exercises for the test.

However, despite the injury, he completed the fitness test. “That accident happened to me today during the online fitness tests that glass of the table fell from the table and cut my knee on the way. It was just an accident, I back PCB policy for fitness testings during quarantine which keeps us focus. I am happy I still conpleted all the tests,” he tweeted.

He has also sent the pictures to the doctors because the cut was deep. “I sent pictures to some doctors because the cut was quite deep as we all are quite scared these days to go to the hospitals, it was just an accident.”

It must be noted that PCB has decided to take online fitness tests of centrally and provincially contracted players during this lockdown period.
