Pakistan emerging pace bowler Haris Rauf has excited his captain, Glenn Maxwell of his Big Bash League side, Melbourne Stars by his astonishing performance in the debut match of the tournament.
Haris impressed by claiming a wicket om his very first bowl by dismissing Max Bryant of Brisbane Heat. He also dismissed tailender Mitchell Swepson on the last ball of the innings as Stars successfully defended the 168-run target and won their first match of the season.
Rauf, who replaced South African veteran Dale Steyn ended on a figure of 2-20. Maxwell termed Haris as a “Scary” pace bowler during the post-match presentation ceremony.
“Haris scared a few of the boys the other day in the nets, where he tested the speed gun which was nice, and his debut was outstanding,”
Maxwell, the man of the match for Stars’ as he made 39-ball 83 to reach his team on a total of 167/7.
