Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is all set to make a comeback in the upcoming Big Bash League and will also lead Melbourne Stars in the tournament.
Maxwell in October took a break to deal with mental illness but has joined Stars’ pre-season camp for Big Bash stint.
“We’re satisfied to see Glenn in green and prepared to lead our side with a major season ahead,” David Hussey, Head coach Melbourne Stars.
“He is an extraordinary player and a vital part of our club but health is a most important aspect and he has focused on it and overcome the situation,” Hussey added.
Indian captain Virat Kohli appreciated Glenn’s act and said he has set a remarkable experience for the cricketers all over the world.
Stars’ will start their Big Bash campaign against Chris Lynn’s Brisbane Heat on December 20th.
