Managing director of Pakistan cricket board (PCB) Wasim Khan on Wednesday said his meeting with the Marylebone Cricket Club’s (MCC) World Cricket Committee went positive.
While speaking at the flag hoisting ceremony on the independence day at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore, Khan said MCC team will tour the country in the near future.
“It was a very positive meeting with the MCC, Australian legendary spinner Shane Warne and Sri Lanka’s former captain Kumar Sangakkara were also present in the meeting which was chaired by Mike Getting,” Khan told.
MD PCB briefed MCC cricket committee about security situation in Pakistan.
Khan said that he also informed participants about the impact of non-international cricket in Pakistan.
“The briefing emphasized the importance of restoring international cricket in Pakistan,” he said.
The two-day meeting with the MCC Cricket Committee took place in London on August 11 and 12.
