Miandad desirous to watch Younus score 10,000 runs

Former captain Javed Miandad has all praise for struggling Younus Khan and wishes him in advance to see him break his record and cross the 10,000 mark in Test cricket.

Miandad says my well wishes are with Younus, I want him to break my record and also see him achieve the 10,000 runs mark in test cricket, if he does so I shall be very pleased. He said records in cricket are made to be broken but some are unforgettable. It may be noted that Younus is very close to Miandad’s record of 8832 runs in Test and is only 19 runs away from grabbing this title. The former star achieved this mark through 124 matches while Younus has to his credit 8814 runs with an average of 54.07 runs.

Inzamam ul Haq stands second scoring 8829 runs after Miandad. Younus needs 15 more runs to equal Inzamam before he advances for the first position. Younus who holds various records to his name has already broken Miandad’s single innings record of 150 runs in test cricket.
