Javed Miandad picks his favorite Indian batsman, explains why he is best

Karachi: Former Pakistan captain and coach Javed Miandad has picked Indian captain Virat Kohli as his favorite Indian batsman.

In a youtube video, the legendary batsman was asked who is the best in between Kohli and Rohit Sharma, so he chose the current Indian skipper as the best.

“I was asked who is the best in the Indian cricket team, so I choose Virat Kohli,” he said. “I don’t have to say much, his performance itself explains a lot. People have to admit this, his stats are visible,” he added.

The 62-year-old Miandad reminded his viewers when India toured South Africa in 2018 where Kohli batted brilliantly.

Virat performed really well in South Africa even on an uneven wicket, he scored a hundred. You cannot say he is scared of fast-bowlers or he cannot play on bouncy pitches or he doesn’t play spinners well. He is a clean hitter of the cricket ball. Just look at his shots, it feels so good to watch him bat, he has class.” he maintained.
