Pakistan’s batting maestro Javed Miandad took a dig at Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan that he knows nothing about cricket as he said that country’s legends are not good coaches.
He said that if anyone has to know about his coaching skills, one should ask the cricketers who he has coached.
“If you want to inquire about my performance, ask Mushtaq Ahmed, Moin Khan, Inzamam and Wasim Akram,” he said. “I told Mr Shaharyar that your players are involved in match-fixing and he rubbished me,” said Miandad.
Pakistan’s former flamboyant opener, Aamir Sohail backed his teammate’s statement and stated that Shaharyar Khan should not criticize former cricketers. He also talked about creating a body of retired cricketers to protect their rights
“Shaharyar and company are leading Pakistan cricket towards destruction,” said Aamir.
“If all former cricketers unite and form a body, the PCB will not be able to do any injustice to any retired cricketer,” he said.
